Mark you calendars! 30 different Polish artists will be presenting work in the SLCC Meramec Gallery exhibition

Saint Louis Polonia, Inc. will be co-hosting a program comprising of a series of art exhibitions by several renowned Polish artists. It will take place at St Louis Community College Meramec Contemporary Art Gallery.  The series is curated by Joe Chesla – Professor of Sculpture and Design  at SLCC who has just returned from residency at the Academy of Fine Arts (ASP) in Katowice. 30 different Polish artists will presenting work in the Meramec Gallery exhibition

January 19-February 20, 2017.

Opening reception: Thursday, January 19, 4:30-6:30 pm 

 

Lecture Series (this is still getting lined up –  more detail soon)

 Polish sculptor and Academy of Fine Arts (ASP) Katowice faculty Tomasz Koclęga will work with the sculpture students of STLCC Meramec   in the making of 2 site specific sculptures for the campus.

Marcin Białas. Printmaker, ASP Katowice faculty  will exhibit  and give a public presentation of his work.

Wiktor Szostalo, sculptor with studios in St Louis and Poland. will exhibit in C/U and give a public presentation of his work.

Ola Giza, Printmaker, graphic designer, and professor at Northern Illinois University and Opole University in Poland. she will exhibit in our show and maybe give a talk

Kaja Renkas   Graphic artists will exhibit in the C/U exhibition and give a talk about her work.

Lesław Tetla  Painter, Dean of Fine arts at ASP Katowice, currently resident artists at the University of Cleveland.he will exhibit in C/U  and give a public presentation of his work.
